What we eat at events:

In order to more accurately reflect the lives of the people we have chosen to portray, we use the following list of victuals in preparing our meals:

Crown Provided Provisions:

    Pease (dried split peas)
    Meale (steel cut oat meal)
    Biscuit (hardtack)
    Flour
    Butter
    Pork
    Beef
    Grog (any amount above the 1 flask permitted on forage list)

Foraged Provisions:

    (Members are permitted to bring limited supplys of the following items.
      On occasion quantities of these items were provided by the Crown.)

    Bohea Tea (no teabags)
    Hunan Tea (no teabags)
    Green Coffee
    Sea Salt
    Sugar (Maple / Cone)
    Sauerkraut
    Cheese
    Fresh Bread
    Sausage
    Dried Beef / Pork / Venison
    Raisins / Dried Currants
    Ginger
    Onions
    Turnips (seasonal only)
    Brown Rice
    Yellow Corn meal
    Fresh Corn (seasonal only)
    Carrots (seasonal only)
    Cabbage (seasonal only)
    Lettuce (seasonal only)
    Apples (seasonal only)
    Other fresh produce when season permits
    Rum flask (only ONE small flask per man!)
    Chocolate
