Sir
His Majesty having been pleased to order the 17th. Regiment of (Light) Dragoons, commanded by Major General Preston, to embark for North America from Ireland, and, previous to their Embarkation, to be augmented with six Serjeants and One Hundred and Two Private Men; and as Cloathing, Accoutrements and Horse Furniture &c. for this Augmentation are to be immediately provided, I am commanded to signify to You His Majesty's Pleasure, that You do summon a Board of General Officers to inspect the Patterns which shall be exhibited, and to do every Thing else which shall be necessary, that the said Cloathing, Accoutrements and Horse Furniture, &c. may be immediately provided.

I have the Honour to acquaint Your Lordship therewith, that You may be
pleased to receive His Majesty's Commands thereupon, and signify the

to the Quarter Master General of the Ordnance, that the said Arms say
be
delivered out of His Majesty's Stores to Messieurs Cox and Mair for the
Use of the said Regiment, and the Expence thereof charged to the
Estimate
of Ordnance for Parliment.
