The 17th Regiment of Light Dragoons, commanded by Major General Preston, being ordered to embark from Ireland for North America, and the under mentioned Arms being wanted to replace a like Number, not only worn out and unfit for Service, but of a different Caliber from those now issued for the Augmentation, and to make the whole uniform; I have the Honour to acquaint your Lordship therewith, And to desire You will be pleased to receive His Majesty’s there upon, and signify the same to the Master General of the Ordinance, that the said Arms may be delivered out of His Majesty’s Stores to Messrs. Cox and Mair, for the Use of the said Regiment and the Expence thereof charged to the Estimate of Ordnace for Parliament.
