War Office 24th February 1775.

Mr. Chamier presents his Compliments to Mr. Boddington, and acquaints him that 126 Carbines and 138 Pairs of Pistols being wanted for Major General Preston's Regiment of Light Dragoon's, the usual Letter has this Day been sent from this Office to the Earl of Rochford, acquainting his Lordship therewith; but, as the said Arms are wanted immediately, Mr. Chamier begs the Favour of Mr. Boddington to inform the Board of Ordnance thereof, and to desire that they may be ordered to be delivered without waiting for the usual Forms of Office.

Mr. Boddington
