Enclosed I have the honor to send you the Distribution of Pay of a Regiment of Dragoons when on Service, together with the Number of Rations of forage and Provisions which are to be issued; and am to signify to you His Majesty's Pleasure that the same shall take Place in the 17th Regiment of /Light/ Dragoons upon their disembarking in North America.
The annext [sic] account
of Rations &c specifies what is proper for each rank, but your Excellency
will be pleased to take care that Rations are drawn for no more than the
Effective Horses of the Officers and Men.

Regiment of /Light/ Dragoons, under your Command on their disembarking in North
America.
The distribution supposes the Corps to be compleat [sic] but Care
is to be taken that Rations are drawn for no more than the Effective Horses of
the Regiment.
