1st December 1776.

 

The 16th Dragoons the Baggage only that is necessary, with four days Forage will march tomorrow as early as possible to Denys's [sic] Ferry, where Boats will be ready to receive and Land them on Staten Island, from whence they will immediately March to Elizabeth Town, where they are to put themselves under Lieutenant General Earl Cornwall’s Command 'till further Orders.
